Week 43 News


This week celebrated Tomb Raider's 21st birthday since the release of the first game. There hasn't been any updates upon a new squeal to Rise of the Tomb Raider. However, there have been commemorative memories of the world records achieved.

-In last year's celebration an official world record was set for the most Lara Croft cosplayers. Held at Paris games week a total of 270 fans gathered to set this incredible achievement.

-Community manger Megan Marie has had her first book book 20 years of Tomb Raider has been translated to French.

-Microsoft hosted their annual fan fest in Madrid in celebration of the new Xbox One X. A small gathering discussed Tomb Raider's success, and future potential squeal.

-An additional scene (of approximately 5 seconds) have been added to an IMAX trailer to the new upcoming Tomb Raider movie. A small scene can also be spotted in the "Feel true power" advert for the Xbox One X.

-Team Tomb Raider have fantastic prizes for donations towards their Extra life raffle. Donations go to help local children's hospitals and have raised over $30 million since it's beginning in 2008.

-The Tomb Raider archives volume 3 is now available to purchase featuring comics #35-#50 of the classic comics by Top Cow, featuring the art of Michael Turner and many more

-It's been confirmed leading lady Alicia Vikander had a private ceremony in Spain to marriage to Michael Fassbender. The new Tomb Raider movie is set to released next year March, and eager fans have been seeing the trailer in cinemas.
