Tomb Raider Experience

I was kindly invited by Crystal Dynamics community Manager Megan Marie to attend the Tomb Raider Experience. Based in London this limited time escape room is one of a kind and the first of it's kind.

Costing around £30, 000 the escape room took actual sets featured from the Tomb Raider movie and was located in Shoreditch. Created by event specialists The Halo Group structured the rooms to intertwine one another and follow the mystery of the Mother of Death.

A selection of celebrities and press were invited to give the room try, and a few lucky fans could enter a contest to win entry. Alongside those 10 very special desks were invited by Crystal Dynamics to give it a try.

The rooms include Richard Crofts office, The chasm of Souls, and the Tomb of Himiko which feature actual props used in the movie. Upon entry you are greeted with an array of props such as Lara's Bike, and concept location art.

The escape room is only around for 2 weeks, which were, fortunately, one of the final groups for their last day, LA hosted a similar escape room however it only featured one room and was a race against time.

As well as the Escape Room one of the art works that won the Warner Brothers art contest was featured in Shoreditch. About a 10 minute walk away the mural is located towards the Shoreditch train station.

A later blog post will discuss my review of the Tomb Raider experience but will be forever grateful to have been invited to such a unique experience room.
