What we want from "Shadow of the Tomb Raider"
With a 3 year hiatus, 2018 will be seeing Lara Croft dominating both our TV screens and cinemas. Crystal Dynamics have confirmed a new game with more information released as early as next year.
No concept art or gameplay has been released yet. From a personal opinion, I would love to accessibility to vehicles. During the production of 2013, there was concept art of Lara riding a horse but we never got this. Then in one of the opening scenes to Rise of the Tomb Raider, showed Lara being the passenger of a Jeep.

I understand that the character development shows a young naive woman showing her going from strength to strength. She can craft a bow and pick up an enemies weapon, but can't drive anything!
Another personal feature I would love to see is a full game experienced in endurance. Not exactly a see how long you survive, but having Lara becoming weak and adapting to the different climates and having to become more resourceful.
Rise of the Tomb Raider was a critical success winning a variety of awards, but with an upcoming game what is it the fans want to see?
A close friend, and fellow Tomb Raider collector Corey suggested;

"I just want exotic locations, with her backpack and dual pistols."
"I'll be happy with her personality. She needs to keep her previous skills from the other games. I don't want want to do the survival aspect anymore, costume selections need to be more about classic Lara, rather than a knight in shining armour and animal bones."
In our discussion he also highlighted of a potential level editor like Tomb Raider 3 offered fans. But mainly that there would be a full underwater level, instead of using the water as a hiding ground or circulating to point A to B.

"I hope to see in the next Tomb Raider games after the reboot, Natla, and Amanda. (referring to Tomb Raider 1, and Tomb Raider Legend) I also want to see her backpack, new weapons and many other possibilities, and that the title is Shadow of the Tomb Raider."
From another Tomb Raider fansite, 'Passion collection Lara Croft Tomb Raider' Wesley wrote: "I hope they have dual pistols and the classic Lara outfit...and maybe make it compatible with the switch"
Tomb Raider anniversary has been the only game in the series that has been adapted for Nintendo.

Sharog posted on the same thread agreeing with all of the above: " We just want the classic Lara outfit and her pistols...When you think of about classic Lara (core designs) you think archaeologist. When you think of the new Lara you think Woman adventurer. We love Lara because of her story, her dual pistols."
Although Tomb Raider is a reboot there is no harm in paying homage to the past, fans realistically want Lara to become the legend she was. Not necessarily the sexy pin-up but the heroic adventurer who was fearless. For Lara to change her wardrobe so people recognise her iconic 20-year reign.
Overall we want the game to show the fans who have followed her adventure since Core designs that they haven't forgotten who she was or who she will become.
