The Music behind Shadow of the Tomb Raider

Brian D’Oliveira work on the shadow of the Tomb Raider is truly inspiring, using authentic instruments to capture and bring the game to life.

Working on games such as Resident Evil 7, this behind the scenes video shows a one-man Lara Band. Using instruments sourced from pre-Columbian and South-American create a hauntingly beautiful sound.

But to put sound to picture and push the boundaries of emotion sound designer Martin Stig Andersen made his mark. He aspired from the previous composer Matt McConnell. To encapture the raw emotion and concentrate on the traversing to both your environments and the mindset of Lara.
